Il telaio quadripartito prevede una sezione di alimentazione con tre trasformatori R-Core, due sezioni linea per i due canali ed una sezione centrale in cui si concentra la sezione digitale. Tutta la circuitazione in cui il segnale audio passa è gestita da componenti discreti con circuitazione ACSS che prevede la trasmissione del segnale nel dominio della corrente. L'R27 condivide tutta la sezione linea con il D27 e rappresenta il naturale successore dell'amatissimo Master 11 che si basava sulla conversione D/A con 4 BB 1704K.
